As a unique category of the lolita style, gothic lolita has its very own features. Normally, a gothic lolita favors the color of pure black, white as well as cream instead of bright colors. There are a few steps about how to make yourself a gothic lolita. If you want to be a qualified gothic lolita, you are gonna spent much time on your make-up and your hair as the first step. Just remember, try as best as you can to make you a porcelain doll with the flawless skin and perfect hair. Besides, a gothic lolita generally strive to wear natural-looking makeup. For gothic clothing, a pannier and a bloomer are preferred. Of course they must well go with the blouse and the skirt. A corset is also available too but it should never be weared alone as the top. The choice of blouse is very important in that the blouse has to be very slim and well fitted and as mentioned before, the color should be black, white or cream. In addition, a perfect choice of a blouse for a gothic lolita is always by fine tailoring, featuring intricate embroidered details, ruffles, embellished cuffs and necklines. Next is the skirt part, for a gothic lolita, the normal choice are an embellished skirts, JSK or a one-piece dress. Actually, a black JSK over a white blouse is a typical Gothic Lolita look. Of course, sometimes a one-piece gothic dress without the blouse is also okay for a gothic lolita. As for stockings or tights, gothic lolita always prefer opaque material and the kind of socks or tights that go over the knee. When it comes to the choice of shoes, a gothic lolita should always go with the dark ones like black or other dark colors. If you choose to wear a pair of Mary Janes, make sure they keep to a slim, natural leg silhouette. Headdresses, an irreplaceable part of a gothic lolita, a dark large Alice bow is a safe choice for you. Other accessories are also available if you want such as headband, comb or clips. Last but not least, always be creative. Something like a parasol or special designed purse or something you could come up with can always add up with your personal style to a gothic lolita. Now show off your special posture and act as a good-mannered lolita girl!
