You can start out with a one bedroom or two bedroom timeshare and upgrade to a three or four bedroom unit as your family grows. This allows you to continue to use your timeshare even when you have larger children that might want to bring a friend along on vacation. There are only a few disadvantages of owning a timeshare and one of them is that you have to sit through a very high pressure sales meeting in order to buy one and the other disadvantage is that you will be on a resort the entire time you are vacationing.
