How and What to Write for Wedding Cards

Art and Culture,Crafts,Relationships
wedding cards. The common scenario would be to get a complimentary wedding card, write there "best wishes" and done. However, you can be more creative than that. If you are planning to give a truly wonderful present for the couple, consider creating wedding cards that are worth keeping and remembering.

What not to write. When writing messages on wedding cards, there are the things you need to watch out for. Avoid writing inappropriate or delicate stuff on the card. You can be funny and engaging in other ways. Do not write insulting or long-running jokes as they could possibly ruin the mood of the moment. Remember that most couples would keep the cards for life, so write something memorable not horrible. Never mention anything about previous affairs and relationships. Weddings are about the couple so wedding cards should only focus on the couple. Do not write lengthy marital advice on the card. There is a more appropriate place and time for that.

What to write. If you are a member of the immediate family, it is appropriate to write meaningful things on the wedding cards. You can be emotional as you express joy and happiness towards welcoming the new member of the family. If you are a close friend or relative, write your sincerest and warmest wishes for the couple. Avoid being too emotional, however. If you are an acquaintance or part of the social circle, simple and short messages of congratulations are enough to show your heartfelt desire for the couple to be happy for life. As an added advice, you can include brief quotes and verses to support the message you want to impart through the wedding card.

How to write. Make drafts first to avoid erasures and mistakes on the card itself. Since it is best that you hand write the message, practice writing a couple of lines on scrap before you finally write on the card. Use a functional, quality pen when you write. A black pen with felt tip or gel tip is recommended. Use the same writing style throughout in both the card and the envelope.

It is preferable that you personally hand the card and the present to the couple on the wedding day. However, if you can't attend the event, post the card and the present as early as possible and express regret for not coming. You can have the items sent to the couple's new home or the bride's parent's home. ">Many people get into the difficulty of finding the right present for the newly wedded couple.
