For the straight front axle, parts such as king pin bushing, pan hard bars and king pins are unique features. C-clips are the parts used in securing a rear axle from the insider of the axle housing on a couple of rear wheeled driver versions of the rear axle. On some occasions, the axle has shock absorber mounts that are attached to it especially for vehicles with a rear axle and front-wheel-drive applications. Some of the axle parts include reinforcing plates for the strengthening of the axle assembly and spring pads. Many such axles have welded on them distinctive mounts that make the attachment of axle vehicle’s chassis easier and possible. This application also makes use of wheel nuts that are used to secure the wheel hub assembly to an axle. In most front axle application, the parts are used to attach the steering gear to an axle. Tie rod ends, sway bars and drag links are a common sight on this portion of the axle. Leaf spring mounting pads are also an integral part of this axle casting. Nuts and u-bolts are mainly used to have the axle beam enjoined to the springs. To prevent squeaking and act as a cushion, some rubber pads are put between the spring and the axle.
