Use of A- GPS , Receivers do not have to download and decode the navigation data from GPS satellites, it could have more time and processing power to track the GPS signal, this can reduce the time to first fix, with the largest increase in sensitivity, and availability.
GPS is a satellite-based positioning system, it was originally designed by the U.S. military and is subject to U.S. military control, free of charge for anyone to use. The system is composed of the middle ring in 6 orbit 24 satellites, orbiting a satellite around the time of the week close to 12 hours. Each satellite continuously sent on the current time, all the satellite location and the like calendar (almanac) and the ephemeris (ephemeris) data that some of the information. A-GPS benefits is to improve the TTFF, increase agility and to maximize the availability of the existence of these advantages is that the receiver will no longer have to download and decode the navigation data from GPS satellites, the receiver can use more a lot of time and processing power to track the GPS signals.
