Ballpoint Pen: A Small Ball that Transfers The Ink

Business,Boating,Books
A bic pen is a device used to apply ink to a surface, usually paper, for writing or drawing. At the ancient times reed pens,

quill pens, and dip pens were used, with a nib of some sort to be dipped in the ink. Modern types also include ballpoint

pen, roller ball, fountain, and printed pens. In 1935, two Hungarian brothers, Laszlo and George Biro, invented the improved

version of the ballpoint pen. At the time, Laszlo was an editor at a small newspaper & George was a chemist, and together,

they created new pen designs and ink formulations to be used in them. The main types of pens can be categorized are: # A ballpoint pen dispenses viscous oil-based ink by rolling a small hard sphere, it is usually varies from 0.7–1.2

mm and made of brass, steel or tungsten carbide. # A crow quill pen is a favorite instrument of artists; because it gives them a flexible metal point can create a

variety of delicate lines, textures and tones with slight pressures while drawing. # A fountain pen uses the water-based liquid ink delivered through a nib. The ink flows from a reservoir through a

"feed" to the nib, and then through the nib, by following the theory of capillary action and gravity. # A marker pen has a porous tip of fibrous material. It is the smallest, finest-tipped markers are used for writing on

paper. A roller ball pen dispenses a water-based liquid or gel ink through a ball tip.

In 1952, Bich unveil his new pen. It was an inexpensive clear-barreled and smooth-writing as well as non-leaking pen called

the Bic Ballpoint. And now bic had captured 70% of the European market. Today, BIC dominates the market, with other manufacturers like Parker, Sheaffer and Waterman capturing the smaller market

for fountain pens and ballpoint pens. The modern version of Laszlo and George Biro's pen, the BIC Crystal - sells more than

14,000,000 pieces daily. There are many things to consider when choosing a printed pen to expand your customer base. First of all think about the

message that you want printed on the pen. Your company name and address, phone number, or website is one of the most

important. Who you are and how you can be contacted is also equally important. You can also include your tagline or slogan,

or other information about the product or service that your company provides. Most of the vendors charge per letter or per

word, so the longer your message, automatically the more costly your pens will become. Printed pens definitely will help you

to make yourself known to your potential clients. A printed pen will receive a wonderful reception from the potential client

rather than just the client knowing about your company or may be your business. It will make your business stand out and be

noticed. Direct advertising through printed pens will really help you to gain a foothold in the minds of potential clients

and when they are ready to look for a service or a product; your business will be imprinted strongly on their minds just

like it is imprinted on the pen.
