Whether you are a Colorado native, or you just recently moved here, there is no question you have observed the prominence of the Colorado flag. You may have seen it hanging in your neighbor’s basement or you may have seen it on a fellow skier’s Colorado Hat. What is it that makes Colorado inhabitants so proud? Is it the fact that we enjoy all four seasons in Colorado? Is it because in the summer we can go hiking in the beautiful sunny mountains, then a few months later we can go skiing in the same mountains? People that have lived here their whole lives seem to embrace the beauty of the outdoors, and love outdoor activities, such as hiking, skiing, hunting, fishing, etc. Regardless of their passion, they are happy to demonstrate their love of the great state. On the other hand, people from all over the United States move to Colorado for a variety of reasons. Many of them come from places with very bad weather and they are happy to come to a place with over 300 days of sun per year. These “transplants” are almost more likely than natives to represent the great state with a state flag, a Broncos shirt or a Colorado Hat. On the other hand many people come from all over the world to just spend their vacation in Colorado. The main reason for this is because Colorado is home to many of the world’s best ski resorts. From five star dining and nightlife to the world’s best skiing, Colorado is a hot destination. Some of these great resorts include: Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Breckenridge, Steamboat and Keystone. Before leaving our beautiful state, international tourists want to leave with something that reminds them of their trip. Many times they will buy ski clothes, mountain artwork, books, etc. However, sometimes they will want to wear their Colorado pride when they leave, so they may buy a Colorado Hat, a Colorado Shirt or something else with the Colorado Flag on it. There are many stores all throughout the Colorado ski resort towns that will help assist you in finding the perfect gift to leave Colorado with.
