A teacher is making a personal injury compensation claim against a leisure firm in Fife after suffering an injury while go-karting, it has been revealed. According to the Scotland Courier, Julie Markie alleges she suffered physical harm when one of her school pupils collided with her in a pit area at speed. She suffered damage to her left ankle and foot and right leg as a result and has a scar on her left foot. The 64-year-old, who says that she has had to give up teaching due to the accident, now walks with a limp and has developed a "mild" brain injury. It is also suggested that she suffers post-traumatic stress disorder.
