Each grain of silver will have to be individually tested and there are thousands of them! The procedure would not only be tedious but would actually cost more than what the silver grains are worth itself. Silver grain is also hard to sell on the silver market. Even companies that sell the grain will not buy it back. It would be extremely difficult to liquidate it when you are actually in need. These facts makes silver grains an extremely poor option for investments purposes. Even with silver price on the rise you will not be able to profit from it.
