So, speaking from the point of view of business, you can be as good as dead if you haven’t used these social media sites to increase your ROI. How do you get started?
Facebook Page 101 As most of us have facebook accounts to connect with other people, why don’t you try creating a facebook page? Facebook pages are for businesses, organizations and brands to share their stories and connect with people. It is a good way to start building your relationships with your clients. There are many ways to optimize your facebook page, from completing your profile information including your facebook covers and photos, to creating milestones and sharing your stories. But for all that has been said, the number 1 thing that you should really take note of, is having a kick ass facebook cover to establish your brand and draw people’s attention. Just look at this Coca-Cola’s cover photo.
Eye-catching isn’t it?
Twitter for Business 101 It’s no surprise here that, Twitter the number 1 micro-blogging site, is now being used as a business platform. With more than a million users and thousands of tweets being sent out, Twitter is a big client pool that needs to be dipped in. But how will you reach out to those clients? The answer lies in learning how to use it properly. As twitter runs in real time communication and runs only 140 characters, you should master the art of talking little with sense and listening more. Update important relevant stuff to your followers and listen to what they need. The key here is building a relationship with them. Don’t be “markety or sale-ish”, just show them what you are capable of, show them the person behind the business. But just like facebook, you have to bring awareness to your brand. Use a good profile image and solid background.
For youtube, instagram and other social sites, we’ll just tackle it next time. But to sum things up, social media can be your best friend. Use it, utilize it, make it, own it and it will bring you great results.
