Next to the quality of your food, presentation is everything in a restaurant or café. A well-presented restaurant can create a certain ambiance that enhances the customer’s experience and makes it feel like a special occasion. The sort of décor you decide to use in your restaurant or café will depend on what kind of environment you want to create that is appropriate for the sort of food you intend to sell. For example, those serving up foreign and exotic foods may want the décor to reflect they type of dishes they are serving using local artwork and traditions from that particular region. This will make the customer feel like they have been transported to another part of the world as they dine and will also increase the authenticity of their dining experience. After general décor it is important to think about how you want your tables to be presented. Will you allow your customers to sit at an empty table until you bring them food, cutlery drinks and menus or do you want them to arrive at a pre-laid table for added effect? Often the answer to this question depends on practicality too. Do you have enough staff and time to lay each table perfectly after one group leaves or will it be easier to do so after your customer has arrived? For a busy little café or restaurant this just may not be feasible. If you are running a busy restaurant it may also be useful to have the menus accessible to customers so they can make a start on deciding what they may like to eat before you come and take their order. This is certainly useful in cafes where the customers are expected to seat themselves and make an order at the till. You will need to find an appropriate place to stow the menus so that they are not left lying around the restaurant creating an untidy look. The best way to store menus is with a specially designed menu holder. This may be available on a stand as the customer enters the restaurant or may be found at the table in a tabletop menu holder. If you are a pub or bar venue that primarily serves drinks but also offers food, then tabletop menu holders are a great way to increase the sales of your food. Customers who have arrived with the intention of only having a drink may decide to order something to eat after all once they have had a look at your menu. Menu holders and poster displays can be used to enhance the décor of your café, bar or restaurant. Search online to find exactly what you are looking for.
