It has been the winter and 2013 now. In this winter, the Jagex launched the winter weekends for the players. I am also one of the players who like the updates. I have played runescape for almost 7 years, very a long time. In my memory, the Jagex offered a wonderful game which I could play within my ability. During the time a played the game, I have met a lot of wonderful people all around the world. As we all know, Jagex has made many updates in Runescape. Some of them had a good reputation but some of them let many players get rid of this game. Runescape is a game that is always based on the reward through effort applied. You can get many rewards in this game as long as you make efforts to develop your character, fulfill the task and train your skills. Many people around me are the fans of World of Warcraft. However, I still have stayed with Runescape rather than WoW. I think one of the best reasons for runescape to attract players is the lack of micro-transactions before. Compared to World of Warcraft, Runescape has two aspects that are better than WoW. The first one is the storylines featured in quests that are completely absent in world of warcraft. The second one is the lack of micro-transactions in the game. For other aspects, I prefer the world of warcraft for the wow owns significant lead. As a result of the two aspects, runescape has become one of the big players in the Massive-Multiplayer Online games. In 2012, the game had more than 200 million registers. Since the micro-transactions had added into the game, many fans regarded the 2 advantages of RS was falling behind. In fact, the general opinion about RS is that the rs is traitors and sellouts rather than greedy as the world of warcraft. When transferred into figurative speech, one could say Jagex has lost the race against Blizzard for cutting off their own legs because they thought it would make them faster.
