From 24 to 26 August, the Bormioli Rocco Plastics Division will make its presence felt in the international trade fair in San Paolo, Brazil, at stand I20. A growth market that offers gigantic possibilities: this is how the Plastics Division sees Brazil in particular and South America in general. The company will be showing the cream of its products at the CPhI fair that runs from 24th to 26th August, especially in terms of ophthalmic packaging, single dose systems, dosing syringes and, of course, its Child Proof and Tamper Evident caps for plastic bottles. Bormioli Rocco is one of the most important manufacturers of complete packaging solutions for ophthalmic use, thanks especially to its wide range of different shapes and sizes of bottles, drop dispensers and closure systems. All these are manufactured using electric machinery in ISO 7 Clean Rooms, thus meeting the extremely elevated hygienic and sanitary standards requested by the market and by European and US health regulations. This qualitative manufacturing excellence makes the Child Proof and Tamper Evident closure systems standard-bearers for the Plastics Division’s products, and is the reason why major pharmaceutical companies have gone for them in such a big way. Bormioli Rocco now offers an enhanced version with silica gel, providing an even better moisture barrier to protect products from damp. These caps can be used with bottle necks ranging through PFP 18, 24, 28 and 35, and are suitable for contents including liquid or powder syrups, solutions for drops and products in pill form. Thanks to synergies between its different Business Units, the Bormioli Rocco group can apply its Child Proof and Tamper Evident closure systems to both plastic and glass bottles and offer complete packaging solutions. The South American showcase will also be an opportunity to highlight a packaging product for the field of integrators that is highly appreciated by European consumers. This is the New Shaker, a packaging system for single dose products that makes it possible to prepare a solution in one single move: using a patented closure that allows the user to release the active principles just moments before administrating the product, thus preserving all its freshness and effectiveness. The New Shaker system can be successfully used in various kinds of context, including integrators, probiotics, dietary products, hair and skin treatment and energy drinks. All Bormioli manufacturing plants comply with ISO 9001 2008 regulatory standards. Driven by the desire for ever higher quality, the company has recently obtained ISO 15378 certification for its factory in Castelguelfo (near Parma, in Northern Italy): the base of the Plastics Division therefore now officially complies with Global Manufacturing Practice international standards.
