Let me just elaborate on these points: Marketplace Knowledge and Expertise an executive search firm will know all the players of an industry. They may specialize in any industry or profession and hence provide certain knowledge and expertise for the same. For example, one company may specialize in healthcare and the other may specialize in servicing. So the company specializing in one particular industry will know the buzz and everything that goes into it thus they’ll help in speeding up the process and have the database of who’s who in the industry. The search firm no matter the industry knows the players and can provide specific knowledge of what it takes to work in that industry. Specialized Knowledge and Resources a professional recruiter will bring skills and resources to the job that the most hiring or HR managers are not able to do. They also tap the passive energy in the candidates and make them most receptive to new opportunities. Additionally a person who runs an ESF for a living is constantly on the move and keeps updating his records for new candidates. Confidentiality and Objective Input another benefit that lies in the bag of executive search firms is that they can quietly tap the talent from other companies to your. They can bring confidentiality of the search from within the company and approach your competitors without being noticed. Because of these search firms there’s a lot of objectivity that goes into the process. If you wish to have a certain candidate and at a certain salary and package, these search firms can give you the right inputs. Negotiation Buffer supposedly you wish to recruit particular candidate but you know that there might be some issues in terms of salary and package, having a 3rd party recruiter is always a boon since the latter has a benefit in getting that position filled and his interest lies in the candidate accepting the offer. Having a recruitment consultant means that all is said and done by him and your company doesn’t directly negotiate, hence the matters don’t linger on and the results are immediate.
