Well, it probably isn't possible to learn data science all by oneself, although its certainly possible to learn parts of data science on your own. Putting everything together would require the help of other people, for example a mentor or a group of people who can guide you through processes, what is important, tips etc.. Ofcourse there are many resources online that can help you learn, tutorials, courses etc and there is no doubt that you can get pretty good, however you need to be confident that you can use and assimilate your learning in practical and novel situations.
