How to Relieve Stress

Feeling stressed. It is normal to feel stress. It helps to become more alert, attentive, and more focused on work. Stress also helps you to go beyond your limit. Makes you keen, concentrated, and help you win a losing situation. Stress is good if that is so. What is bad is that when stress goes more than a man’s capacity. When a man’s norm becomes inefficiency at work, stress gets into a point where it drives a man crazy and distracted. Instead of being productive, once it gets into the mood the result is but destruction. Here are some pointers if not to avoid but reduce the bad effect of being over-stressed.

1. Physical activity. Spending time to be physically active every day reduces the chances of stressed with work. Activities such as aerobics and working out, jogging, gardening, exercises that will make you sweat relieves symptoms of being depressed and anxiety, and improves the state of mind.

2.Contemplate. Awareness of having a choice makes you decide whether you did the right thing to say yes or no. Saying yes might be a great escape of further discussions but complications such as an untimely need of your personal life is at stake here for it comes next after your commitment. Learning to delegate is healthy for a happier, less-stressful life.

3. Have a Break. Fatigue is always associated with stress. A long hour of work disrupts your mind. Having a snack, taking a five-minute coffee break, a couple of stretching will lower the stress level and toxicity of your task.

4. be systematic. An organized life gives the benefit of taking charge and control over one’s self. Keeping personal things tidy and clean and in order, make difficulty of further actions less problematic. We see that in the military that they are displaying their quick and snappy attitude, which gives better remarks than normal civilians do. This is because they are training every day to organize themselves so that they can deliver fast and accurate response on the split of time without stressing.

5.Adequate sleep. How much sleep do we need? A person needs an average of 7 to 8 hours of sleep to cope up with stress. A deprivation of sleep causes other effects such as fatigue, moodiness, and irritability, reduced immunity to sickness, memory and concentration problems, and disease such as diabetes. All but a by-product of lack of sleep resulting to stress-related complications.

6. Proper Hydration. Drinking water a glass of water is great to combat stress. It sounds easy but it is true. It causes stress when a person is not properly hydrating. The body reacts to its lack of fluid resulting to a behavioral problem leading to stress. When stressed, you are also easily dehydrated. The body also reacts to the stress draining the fluid inside the body resulting this to a cruel cycle of water dehydration. As the saying goes, drink eight glasses of water every day.

7. Eat healthy food. Having a healthy diet reduces the chances of gaining stressful life. Foods that bring you back to your pace are oranges, sweet potatoes, dried apricots, avocadoes, and green leafy vegetables are some delights to munch.

8.Listen to music. Listening to music brings a person into the mood. A loud and heavy, earth shattering music will initiate a distortion in the mind, breaking its state of stability. By listening to a slow-paced music, the body meditates to a state of relaxation leading to reduction of stress.
