The Nokia 2720 Fold is one of a new line of mobile phones from Nokia. With Christmas drawing ever near it seems this manufacturer is hedging its bets with a spate of new additions to its already burgeoning range. This handset which has only been released in September is an innovative budget flip phone which encompasses a wide range of features within a stylish designed casing. It measures 93 mm x 46 mm wide and 17 mm thick whilst only weighing 90 grams. The Nokia 2720 Fold comes with 2 screens as is expected with a flip phone. The external screen is a monochrome TFT display screen which is 1.36 inches in size and has a 128 x 160 pixels display size. The second internal screen is a 1.8 inch TFT screen which displays 65,000 colours accurately. Both screens offer excellent quality imagery with the external screen having limited size and is used purely to find out who is calling or the time without the need to open the phone. The phones 1.3 mega pixel camera operates at a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels. The images taken are good enough to display on the screen with good detail. In essence the camera is a snap shot type of camera. The added bonus of being able to record and playback video is an excellent alternative and operates at 15 frames per second. The phone comes with a variety of alerts available to its owner with ring and vibration available. The ability to download polyphonic and MP3 ringtones is an added bonus. A speakerphone offers the ability to talk hands free. An MP3 player which can and does play the majority of audio files available including MP3, eAAC and MP4 ensures the owner is entertained. The voice memo facility integrated within the phone is a useful feature that is worth its weight in gold when the need arises. The 2720 Fold is a welcome addition to the Nokia family of mobile phones. Nokia's ability to deliver high quality handsets has endeared them to a generation of phone enthusiasts.
