The Nokia 6230i is modeled on the ground of its predecessor, the Nokia 6230. It is no hi-end device and neither is there any great changes incorporated. Yet if you are bored of your older version and want to buy a new for namesake, the Nokia 6230i makes a good option to be explored. Place the handset side by side and you would hardly find any difference between the two. Save that our new model, the Nokia 6230i comes with a greater screen resolution – 208 x 208 pixels as opposed to the former with 128 x 128 pixels. Now this is really a boon for the new display not only makes good platform for sharpers texts and graphics, it also well enhances the usability of the screen as a viewfinder (with the camera on). Overall, the Nokia 6230i still manages to be light and compact, measuring 103 mm x 44 mm x 20 mm. The buttons of this handset are square, flat and equally sized – making text messaging a pleasure. Thanks, to Nokia's intuitive Menu system, navigation becomes very easy and straightforward. While animated icons liven up the Nokia 6230i's interface, which gives you a choice of a 3x3-grid or list-based structure. Feature wise, the Nokia 6230i includes the much appreciated Push -to-talk feature. With this, the handset is turned into walkie-talkie, but unlike one, it is not limited to certain area. The Push-to-talk feature also includes added benefit of being able to send bursts of voice to many phones simultaneously. But this is only possible between compatible devices or network. Other highlights of Nokia 6230i includes 1.3 MP camera, Bluetooth and infrared, 32MB of internal memory and a 64MB MMC card. A decent phone here, Nokia 6230i is surely not a phone that makes head turn, but it is sure a good enough to prevent a headache when being used.
