However, both of these technologies are used together, there is apparently enough difference to write a book about it. OSS stands for Operational Support System. Used largely by businesses maintained by the telecommunication industry, Operations Support System is used to refer to the inventories and the associated systems of network. Network components, which need to be configured along with their services used for provisioning, are also referred to as OSS. On the other hands, BSS is an abbreviation commonly used for Business Support System. Dealing mostly with taking order and payments, the whole process is relatively new and not easily found. This new technology helps to assist in procession of the bill and the participation of the customers. The sole reason for using the terms together is that both interlock the process of interactions together. Both of these terms are closely related for the apparent success of telecommunications billing around the world today. This new and innovative system of billing has been proving its mettle in problems related to connectivity, software bugs and of course the ease of billing accuracy. This new provision has allowed payments options like card payment flourish. Moreover, the provision of telecom billing helps to keep a good track and updated record about whatever data is fed to it in order to access it later, if need be it. This new technology also allows cutting back a good extent on human resources. Since, the whole system is automated; a good backup system is enabled along with ease of the whole transaction. In addition, the whole process of using a service and being billed for it has become much easier than it used to be. The system is such that it will detect minor problems and tasks without fail, if there is any.
