One of the best ways you can find to relax and take your mind off the stress of daily life is to do an arts and crafts project. For example if you are doing projects with children you probably want the Fiebing's Institutional Leather Dye because it is water based which makes is safer for children, nursing home projects or even detention centers. One recent item I made was a bag or satchel with some decorative buttons that I colored with some Gilders Paste, which I also used for some accents. The Fiebing's Leather Dye is what I used for color dying the leather initially. It is really very enjoyable to create something from just plain raw materials. It gives you a great feeling of accomplishment once you are done. Some other leather working tools that I used was a lace cutter for the laces I used to join the pieces of leather. Of course one of the most important tools involved was the hole punch for leather, I couldn't imagine how long and hard it would have been to accomplish the task of punching holes in the leather for laces without that leather punch. Having the right tool for the job is essential! If you are interested in doing leather crafts you should probably do some research on the internet, there are many pictures of really cool items people have made, this will get your creative juices flowing. It is a fun and useful hobby because you can create things that are practical and useful, not just decorations. Another thing you'll notice is that the tools and supplies really aren't that expensive and remember you don't need to buy everything day one, find a craft buddy to share tools and supplies with.
