SO WE WERE ORIGINALLY ROBOTS ? Or so it seems when we read some of the recent findings that are rapidly coming to our attention in the last ten years. The latest two are disquieting.: The brain to brain experiment without direct conections between them as shown on the Horizon programme shows that merely by stimulating one bvrain where “concepts” of certain words are stored the other brain miles away via its own computer will recall those words in the mind of the recipient brain as happened in this experiment with the words “Hello” and “Ciao”. The other discovery is just as unnerving as the liquid which surrounds the brain proves to be a mind of its own and in many ways controls the activity of the brain itself with chemical communications that even mean, “kill the system” . It is in fact what it does by cutting off all communication and chemical aid (supportive during early life) and which allows the system to degenerate and die. The discovery is so startling that a new science has been born since the use of this liquid to communicate with the brain has placed it in the sights of those who now even see military uses with respect to conditioning the minds and bodies with calculated interference in the form of chemicals. In other words, mental manipulation with exposure to certain directly injected or atmospheric penetrable gases which can do the same thing. The liquid itself which was supposed to be purely a protective buffer, is probably even more complex than the brain itself and dominates the former, but it is clearly seen that because of the physical, convoluted nature of the brain matter itself, one part of the brain , however hidden, can interact quickly through the liquid with any other part. In mathematical concepts, if the nature of these packed convolutions represent the creation of scores of dimensions as is thought about “folded” space, then action through the liquid could be as complex as understanding black holes, antimatter and hyper or infra dimensional wormholes. All very abstract but frighteningly very real. Another factor is that the body´s blood supply cannot enter the neurological circuitry and if it does it would kill it, as happens with brain hemorrhages caused by faulty blood vessels. An interface prevents blood from entering either the brain or the liquid itself and it is because of this that the liquid is now thought to be an “excellent” means of rapid delivery of corrective medicine or behavior alteration “medicines” without risking contamination or blood reaction risks. Such is the predictable thinking in this respect in a scientific world where “effect” seems to be of greater interest than positive results which alternative medicine can sometimes contribute. The Strange Collective Consciousness We are also now beginning to understand that the concept of the collective consciousness as originally studied and put out by the controversial Philosopher/ Psychologist Yung, can be related to his obscure, almost paranormal concepts that so angered Freud and who barred him from his house. If we are talking about his baffling so called non causal synchronicities which happen to most of us in life all the time - like the dove that flies in through the window during a conference on peace (just an example!) - then multidimensional experiences and mental recording at different or parallel levels could explain it all. However, this is really hot water and if we want to get down to genuine, scientific nightmares, then the issues must be clear and assimilable by non academics as a primary and protective need. What these experimental finds really mean is that we are much more complex and more self governing that our so called “free will” can possibly claim. We inherit trillions of units of sensory information which combined in different forms can produce different effects on the so called body of transitory human existence. Like the snake skin, this is shed, but the body of knowledge is genetically passed on where there is a descendant and through brothers and sisters etc. The complete mind and personality of the individuals who added or detracted during their lifetime to that total experience carry on existing with all ancestral “memories” with it. It could mean that with selective refined stimulation, earlier individuals can be expressed through the same body as technically nothing has really changed except that objective transmission of the person is negated by nature to enable all the others to take their own place. What I am trying to say is that if we had and allowed an identity programme to analyze and transmit individual characteristics a storage point i.e. a complete mental person itself,it would have to compete with all the others to become that person and the dilution would prevent this. It explains why two people make one and often identical copies but it remains somebody else despite the occasional somebody else going through the experience, as probably often happens of suddenly acting and talking as a previous member of the family. Scientists call it “mimetic genes” but for mortals, it means ancestors carrying forward characteristic memories of ancient behavior. An Inherited Mind that Defends itself. The one related and awesome factor, is that the so called collective consciousness of all individuals on earth at instinctive and generally “security concerned” levels are practically the same. Human lives are short and governed by this body of knowledge called the subconscious The sum total of those lives affected by the shortcomings of speech trying to change its end results (and its dragging effect on this colossal memory base) , add little to this sensory plasma of experiences, filed in the form of biochemical and neuronal circuitry which is only now beginning to unravel in a rapidly expanding way. Minor evolutionary differences is what makes us different to say wild animals but comprehension among all living species is perhaps much more “natural” as seen with pets, than previously thought. Recently it was raised that new circuitry not only attaches to the last in the branch, but alters the very nature of all preceding it. Gradually, because of the global gradual lack of differentiation of manner and form of expression, the behavior and gradual understanding of one individual in remote seclusion, including our ethnic tribal sections, will come to the same level of thing as irrelevant differences disappear with the subconscious blend. The startling recognition that this inherited and master programme bullies humanity and leads the way, also shows that it does so to protect itself. The survival factor lies there and it is who we really are as many fight their fears and phobias which their particular subconscious mind utilize as tools to deter anything that could alter it. The Collective consciousness is the world interrelation of minds on other minds through contact or transmitted word and whether it is an American citizen blasted out with daily sensory experiences or a North Korean, held in suspension by limited experiences and propaganda, the sum total of content when they meet has only one very narrow corridor of difference. Thrown together suddenly, within hours, they would be able to laugh and interchange experiences apart from radically implanted prejudice which only time would erase. In essence, these collective minds are what stimulate each other and increasingly so in this era of disembodied global communication. The minor ordinary life experiences of all do not do much more than evaluate the whole as negative or positive as happens with depressed and essentially “balanced” or overenthusiastic and happy people. The Robot element becomes clearer as life appears to be that sum total of all experiences that sooner or later will arrive at some point where understandings, reality and perception of all these things become central to a meaning and pursuit very different to what we call living today. Robots, with a cleaner input geared to outwit emotional impulses or taught to utilize them in futuristic objectives, would be travelling in cul-de-sacs most of the time - and as with humans the destroy or be destroyed impulse could be triggered off assuming they have mobility and weaponry apart from the blunt instrument of its own material construction. We call it psychologically induced criminal behaviour and in robotic terms it would be no more than self deception through self analysis of sensory stimulation cutting corners if robots can be deemed to be allowed to stress. Such results could not teach humanity something it did not already know. Robots would also have to have the human spurious concept that destruction and survival actually means more than just gaining time to make some more another time, but who knows, perhaps this reduction to the absurd could find another robotic answer not based on logical sequence. The destructive behavior therefore would be a senseless radicalism in which deeper and more meaningful thought (if there is such a thing) would find no evolutionary gain. The conundrum is - whether life itself as a sense of being is greater than all possible different ways of expressing it ? But then perhaps what could evolution in terms of intelligent future projections achieve other than pleasure against pain - if even this has any meaning at all in the light of anything other than a robotic existence ? Unfortunately this is where or world teachers appear to be taking us. Live to Destroy to Allow Others to Live – Is That the Law ? However, taking into account that we are what we are and heading heaven knows where, the sheer banality of destructive motivation as some of the world religions appear to consider normal today, can be clearly seen. If these sections of humankind live to destroy, it would perhaps be much more meaningful to stop reproducing and allow alternatives to gain the upper ground and save all that unnecessary wastage and expense. Conversely, if turning the other cheek or sheer submission which is the essence of all religions of love, is to be considered the useful alternative, then the consequences, if there are any left after the psychopaths have had them removed, at least allow the sensory system to continue and perhaps get to a “flowering stage” at some time in the distant future. Robots are in the same boat and just what scientists think they are going to achieve by so called carbon copying of humans , apart from grinding the teeth of the unsuspecting lions, is a mystery. Scientists however, it must be said, do provide some intermediary reliefs, but essentially cannot by the very nature of their narrow research ever take humanity beyond its own ability to teach itself much more successfully and meaningfully.
