Purchasing Alabama merchandise for people other than current or past students, may seem like an odd idea and rightfully so. When most people think of purchasing these types of items, it's probably hard for them to believe that just anyone would want to receive them, let alone use them. Now, of course, there are some people who would flat-out refuse this type of present. That's because they may be big supporters of a school that's considered a rival. With that being said, there are several reasons why purchasing Alabama merchandise as a gift for people who were not or are not students of the university, could actually be a good idea. They may not be hardcore fans who watch all of the football, basketball and baseball games. They may have never even stepped foot on the campus a day in their lives. It can be a grandfather, grandmother, aunt uncle or cousin. To them, just having something that represents their state is enough for them to be appreciative of receiving Alabama merchandise. There are some people who have so much pride in their state that they gravitate to anything with their state's name on it. It doesn't necessarily have to be a certain school, logo, color or style. Just being able to represent where they are from is enough for them.
