How much importance do you place on articles? If you don't think they hold much sway in the link building and site or product marketing fields then I suggest you rethink your opinion. While it is true that poorly written and copied content does little, if anything, to raise popularity ranking and drive traffic, the opposite can be said for using the right stuff. Properly written articles are probably the most powerful long term, traffic driving strategy that you can employ. The benefits are not immediate, granted, but the long term effects of an article can cement your page(s) in the search engines for years. There are several advanced strategies that you can use to enhance your articles effect, like link building the actual article to give it more power, thereby causing an on flow of focus to your link source, be it your site, squeeze page or product. It is necessary to understand that an article can be republished over and over again by webmasters who are thirsty for great content. The result of this is more links and consequently more traffic. To harness the true power of an article it is necessary to focus on the 5 key ingredients necessary to catch the eye of the discerning reader and attract the search engines. More relevant articles = more links = more traffic. So what do you need in your article to make it good reading. 1. Article Title When you look at newspaper headlines it is the offbeat ones that really catch your eye. Try to give your title that magnetism. It is the first thing that readers see. 2. Keywords and Keyword Phrases Focus writing your article around your specific keyword and keyword phrases. You should research your niche and get a good feel for what the public are searching for. There are free keyword tools available on the net and you should make use of them. Important: Don't try to focus on too many words. One or two at the most is advisable. If you need more then write more articles to encompass them. 3. Keyword Density Be careful with this aspect. The article should be well written with your keyword and or keyword phrases being prominent but not overpowering. Too many occurrences are called keyword stuffing and this is sure to work against you in your efforts to build up credibility and links. In saying that, approximately 10% is said to be an acceptable level. The trick here is to read your article. Ensure it is good reading material because you want the article to be republished as often as possible. Consider the content of your article from a webmasters point of view. If it were someone else's article, would you republish it on your site? 4. Good Article Content Trust! You are building trust with your article content. You want the reader to stay and consume what you have written and click on relevant links. You want the reader to bookmark and share your article with others. You want your article to be unique enough in content to be an eye catcher. Your aim is to get website owners or operators to republish it on their sites, giving you the all important back link(s) and multiply your articles exposure. Check for literacy again and again. Spell-check your article thoroughly before submission. The human brain can compensate for errors in English but the desire to continue to read a poorly written article is not strong. Try to use a unique angle in your article. Don't be afraid to be contentious. Your article needs the topic to draw in the reader. Trust in you as a writer will equate to trust in your products and services. 5. Article Linking Linking of your article is paramount. After all that is the reason you spent the time writing it, isn't it? When it comes to submitting to Article Directories you have two options depending on the directories requirements. You will have an author bio box in which you will write a brief and meaningful description of your site and or product, including the all important link. In some Directories you are also allowed to link from within the body of your article. Make sure you adhere to their requirements. In summary it is important to write unique content containing your keywords or phrases and not to overdo the keyword density. Ensure your content is original and newsworthy and include your all important link(s). primeessays testimonials
