The 5 Business Elements Which Will Make Your Email Marketing Campaign Successful

If you are to have a successful e-mail marketing campaign there are certain elements which you should take into account. Each specific element must be planned and managed from beginning to end. There are many elements to consider but I have decided to focus on what I believe are the 5 ESSENTIAL elements that every e-mail marketing campaign simply MUST HAVE to ensure success.

1. Building Your E-mail Database.

If you where to focus on only ONE thing within your Internet Marketing business, or any business for that matter, growing you customer database would probably be it, in my opinion. Your list of contacts is a saleable asset (one which most business owners completely miss) and is a list which can be marketed to time and time again.

The power of creating a list, and building a trustworthy relationship with it, is truly a goldmine. The many stories you see and hear about on the internet, regarding huge amounts of money, generally involve a marketer, or marketers having a very large list of email contacts, which they can send an offer to, with a simple push of the "send" button.

Imagine being able to send an instant message to hundreds of thousands of potential buyers, now imagine how easy it is to make money online. If you focus on list building you will be building a lasting business legacy for you and your family.

2. Create an Irresistible Offer.

The best email marketing campaigns usually involve an irresistible offer. So you must do your market research to find out what problems or pains your target market (niche) is suffering from and therefore looking for a solution. As I have previously said, if you are focusing on building a trusting relationship with your list, you can quite easily do this with a questionnaire.

The best email marketing campaigns will generally be the ones which have a responsive and trusting client base as a result of constant contact via email, and the provision of problem solving information, with perceived value, which you have sent to them repeatedly.

3. The Email Subject Line.

The email subject line is the probably the most important part of the email. After all you want your email to be read don't you? So when deciding on your subject line remember this, it's ONLY role is to ensure the email is opened.......period!

The best types of subject lines usually involve the asking of a direct question regarding the particular problem you are addressing, such as " Are You Looking For A Quick Way to Eliminate Debt" or " Would You Like to Lose 10lbs in 10 Days". Without an attention grabbing subject line, your email marketing campaign is doomed right from the start.

4. Tracking.

You must know your open rates and click through rates, as a minimum. No email campaign is complete without being able to test the response rate. It as paramount to the success of your business for you to easily find out how your marketing campaign is going, once you know this you can make the necessary adjustments to improve upon the results. You MUST measure all elements of your campaign.

Fortunately with the advent of the autoresponder, it is very easy to do this, most of the top autoresponder service providers (Aweber, GetResponse, ConstantContact) will provide this facility as part of the basic membership. and with definite tracking tools you will be able to distinguish open rates, click through rates, bounce rates and unsubscribe rates. 5. Be Personal.

As mentioned earlier, your main focus SHOULD be on building a trusting relationship with your email list. Part of this requires you to come across as a friend. So how do friends talk to each other? Well they are at least (or should be) on FIRST NAME terms. So when writing your emails consider using the facility within your autoresponder, which allows you to insert the first name of the intended recipient.

If you think about this, it is a magical thing, because even if you have thousands of names on your email list you can make every single one of them PERSONAL, and that is truly rocket fuel for ANY email marketing campaign.
