Recently, a China Laminated Glass http://www.constructionGlassbiz.com/product/Suppliers-laminated-glass-Manufacturers-China.html in the Imperial Palace has been smashed by a tourist with his own hands which arises great discussion about the security system of the historical and cultural sites. The Imperial Palace has a history of more than 600 years. It is the world's largest royal palace, covering an area of 720000 square meters, with a floor space of 150,000 square meters, and a moat of 12 meters in width. Its construction started in 1406 and was completed in 1420. It is not only the most complete and largest ancient palace complex in the world, but also the museum with most abundant cultural relics on Chinese collection history. According to understanding, movable cultural relics collection of the imperial palace is more than 1.8 million, including more than 168 precious relics; the scope of the Palace itself is very big, as we have learned, there are 8704 rooms in the Palace, even if there were more than 200 civil air defense team, it will have its gaps. In fact, the overall security level of the Imperial Palace is not very poor; it has technology, civil air defense, dimension and even a dog four lines of defense. Faced with the question why the glass is so easy to break into peaces, the member of the CPPC Shan Jixiang said, that smashed glass were a glass with long history; the palace uses this glass to show the ancient charming of the past, the glass is a part of the windows. From his words, the Palace is very cautious on installing new type safety glass (tempered glass, Double Glazing Glass and so on). There are numerous cultural relics in the Imperial Palace; it’s not an easy thing to install the safety glass on the relics. Besides, even the safety glass may have the possibility to be broke. In fact, the Imperial Palace has already started the updates of the showroom door securities. The Palace chose compound anti-smashing board as the transmitting of s light material in the showroom security doors and Windows protection. So far, the updates of Chengqian Palace and Yonghe Palace have been finished. This new kind of anti-smashing glass has been installed in the windows of these Palaces. Considering the security and light-admitting quality, some windows are installed with Sandblasted Glass, while some are installed with Laminated Glass bought from sone top Laminated Glass Suppliers.
