The fall runway is one of the most anticipated fashion shows of the year. Fashion lovers gather from all across the world to spectate all of the new and exciting trends brought to life by Fashion Week in New York, Milan, London, and Paris. As the week unfolds, more and more designs are unveiled by some of the world’s most renowned designers. From Gucci to Chanel to Prada to Versace, the fall runway showcases the best styles that these brands have to offer in the upcoming season. The Fall 2018 Runway proved to be innovative in a couple different ways. Not only did the designer collections defy industry standards, but the showcase of them did as well. The highly esteemed designer brand, Chanel, has always been creative when it comes to presenting their designs. However, they did the unthinkable for at Paris Fashion Week by turning their runway into a forest. This display caught the eyes of many. With leaves scattered across the floor and live trees spread across the layout, Chanel’s show truly embodied the fall season aesthetic. However, Chanel was not the only brand with innovative ideas. Dolce and Gabbana used drones instead of models to open their Milan fashion show. The drones flew in carrying the latest Dolce and Gabbana leather handbags of the fall and winter season. This surprised many spectators, all of which are accustomed to seeing models show off accessories, not machines. With all these new changes occurring, it’s hard to tell what will be next for fashion designers everywhere. We will in a world of constant innovation. The Fall 2018 Runway merely proves that.
