When I was shopping for my first prom dress, I was petrified; the only formal dress I had ever worn before that was when I was a flower girl at my aunt's wedding! I didn't know where to start and it looked like all my friends seemed all set with their dresses and could only tell me, 'oh, I'm sure you'll find something.' Well, the trouble was, I didn't know where to find something! But then I looked online and found my answer: Scala prom dresses! Scala dresses have always been famous for being formal and really elegant, and I didn't know they had such spectacular prom dresses too. Knowing that I definitely wanted to make an impression on prom night, I looked for some sexy Scala prom dresses. I immediately saw a really sexy, pink sequined gown that was ankle-length and would be perfect for some a bit taller than me. (I am barely above the petite size, sadly'but hooray for heels!) There were also some halter tops and in hot pinks and bright reds that really caught my eye. They were all definitely sexy, but I wanted to keep looking for a bigger variety of dresses. That's when I saw the strapless Scala dresses. Bam! The black one that was cut at mid-thigh definitely exposed a whole lot of my upper body and my lower body, so it was ultimate sexiness. I also liked the heart-shaped tops on other designs because it was a different twist to the usual straight-line strapless tops that I was used to seeing. I couldn't wait to look in my jewel box for some chunky layers of necklaces that I could pair with a strapless dress. I had some faux pearls but also thought a pretty, gemmed choker would work nicely with a strapless cut. I also wanted to make sure I varied the length I was looking at and looked at both long and short Scala prom dresses. Not that I wasn't anxious to show off the tan I had been working on all spring, but there was that certain elegance and femininity to long gowns that I just couldn't shy away from. I mean, the deeper blue and purple gowns made me look so regal! And I knew I could totally wear long heels under these dresses and elongate my lower body to make me look like a model. There was also a really big selection of print dresses that added some elaborate embellishments to the dresses. There were some cool swirl patterns in multiple colors that would definitely suit a funky girl who wanted to express her unique personality. Some of the print dresses had matching patterns on some part of the top and some on the hem of the skirt which made it look really like it was made just for me! I couldn't believe the variety of the patterns I saw and how beautiful they all were! In the end, I was totally happy with my selection of a Scala prom dress. I hope you follow my advice and go check them out too! You won't be disappointed for your big night. View more Women's dresses from Like.com
