Retro T-Shirts
Retro t-shirts with funny sayings are a great way to show your humorous side. Pay tribute to your childhood. Sport a retro t-shirt with a picture of your favorite drink, candy, or television characters. Funny tongue in cheek phrases are a great way to strike up conversation with other people, too.
Retro Bowling Shirts
Retro bowling shirts can be worn with jeans and are easy to put on. Retro shirts of this variety are apart of the rockabilly and pin up culture. Even if you don't classify yourself under either of these categories, you can still wear a bowling shirt when you go to the movies, when you visit a fast food restaurant, or to an athletic game.
Retro Cowboy Shirts
Retro cowboy shirts have a slim fit and are mesh perfectly with pointed toe boots and shoes. Add a cowboy hat and you'll look just like the Marlboro man. Who says you have to rope cattle to wear a cowboy shirt?
Retro Plaid Shirts
Retro plaid shirts are similar to cowboy shirts in that they display a western feel. Plaid shirts can be worn buttoned up, opened up, tucked in, hanging out, rolled up sleeves, or sleeves in their long state. Both long and short sleeve plaid shirts go well with denim jeans.
Retro Dress Shirts
Retro dress shirts can be made of silk or twill. These short ' length shirts have straight hems, flat collars, and come in a variety of colors. We are particularly fond of the dress shirts that are two toned.
Retro Hawaiian Shirts
Retro Hawaiian shirts can be worn even if you're not in Hawaii. It is best, however, to refrain from wearing Hawaiian shirts to work. Wear your Hawaiian shirt with sandals, slip on, and canvas shoes.
Dos
Do take pride in your appearance. Just because you wear a retro shirt with a worn look doesn't mean that you don't iron your pants or brush your hair.
Do search for actual retro clothing at thrift stores and vintage stores.
Do wear retro shirts with other modern clothing
Do understand your employer's dress code policy.
Don't
Do not show up for work wearing a retro shirt that has a vulgar saying or sexual innuendos. This is considered harassment.
Do not confuse retro for unkempt. Throw out retro shirts that have become too faded.
Do not attempt too look too cool. A plaid fedora hat, blazer, dark washed jeans, Converse, and printed retro tee is not becoming on everyone. It doesn't matter where you saw it.
Do not ignore your body. Make sure your shirt fits you. Plumber's crack and exposed belly button is not cute. On the other hand don't swim in your clothing.
These dos and don'ts are easy to adhere to, right? Have fun with your retro shirt!
