Two teams will be meeting for the second time this season as the Clippers visit the Rockets on Saturday. After getting blown out of during their first meeting, it is expected that Rockets will try to give the visiting team some good payback. The fact that the Rockets just recently lost against another LA team when the Lakers visited Houston adds more motivation for the team to come out better this weekend. The Clippers on the other hand isn't going to let this game slip by them. The team is currently 3-3 after losing miserably against the defending champions Miami Heat. The Clippers stagnated on offense and made lots of mistakes on the defensive end during the game against Heat. It was a pretty bad showing for a team that was picked by many as the team to come out of the west for the playoffs this year. The game against the Rockets will be their chance to redeem themselves and get back in the groove. That being said, I predict the Clippers to be able to win this one as they matches up well with the Rockets. Chris Paul's ability to penetrate and the Rockets current inability to stop such attacks is going to be a huge problem for the home team. The Clippers also matches up well in the forward and center. Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan's activity on the offensive ends with the way they attack and go for offensive rebounds provides a tough challenge for Rockets' Dwight Howard. This could get Howard into foul trouble. Wildcard Patrick Beverly is the wildcard that could give the Rockets a good chance of winning this one. As athletic as the Clippers are, they can only go as far as Chris Paul takes them. We've seen this during the recent game against the Heat wherein the entire Clippers offense got chaotic once the Heat guards started focusing on limiting Paul's role in his team's offensive schemes. If Beverly can somehow mimic the good work that the Heat guards did against Paul, the Rockets will get the advantage on this game.
