One rag or paint brush is used to apply these stains on the surface and they should be applied for minimum of 15 minutes between coats in order to allow for penetration. Once any chosen stain color is achieved, an interval of approximately 10 hours is highly needed before use. Besides stains for wooden gate, requirement for the fence stain can be seen in many houses. When you have a cedar fence, then water born acrylic stain would be wiser choice. You can always go for a fence stain with any color, as per your choice or matching your house color. But, you need to be very much assured about the durability of the stains for the fences.
