acid reflux disease in women which contains reviews on foods that cause acid reflux.">

Heartburn is a symptom of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). This is called gastro-esophageal reflux disease or acid reflux disease. The burning experience is based on the mucosal damage caused by stomach acid, which causes up to the esophagus (gullet). This condition is associated with the lifestyle and eating habits of people. Fortunately, there is a completely reversible condition with a few changes in lifestyle and diet changes, in most cases. 10 Tips to Prevent Acid Reflux (GERD)

By changing the current eating and other habits a little, and avoiding certain foods, you can certainly get relief from GERD. Some tips to prevent acid reflux are:

Eat small frequent meals. Three big meals) represent unnecessary pressure on the lower esophageal sphincter (LES. It follows the return flow of food into the esophagus instead have 5 to 6 small meals throughout the day to eat Sit down and chew your food well. . There is a saying that "you should eat your body and drink fluids." This means that your solid food so good that it is of thin consistency (like that of a liquid) is to chew. You should not . swallow your liquids with one stone (With this tip you can shoot two birds at once - this also helps in weight loss, if that's one of your goals!) Avoid certain foods and drinks: Certain foods and beverages cause acid reflux because they relax lower esophageal sphincter. Foods to avoid are: Black pepper and chili Fatty, spicy, or fried foods Chocolate Peppermint Tomatoes and tomato-based products Citrus fruits and juices Garlic and onion Coffee or caffeinated beverages Carbonated beverages Eat Your last meal of the day at least 3 hours before bedtime: If you are in the habit of sleeping at 11 clock, you finish your dinner by 8 clock. If you lie down with your stomach is full, the food in the stomach tends to push against the lower esophageal sphincter, making reflux. Maintain a reasonable weight: abdominal obesity places additional pressure on your esophageal sphincter, then push acid into the esophagus. Lose weight if you are overweight, and you maintain your weight you're not id. Elevate Your Head in my sleep: Elevate the head, neck and upper body during sleep. This does not mean adding more pillows, because this lift his head. If you are suffering from chronic GERD and help raising the head of your cot by bricks or wooden blocks under. This sleep position helps put pressure on the LES. The height of the elevation is critical and must be at least 6 to 8 inches (15 to 20 cm) are at least minimally effective to prevent the reflux of gastric juice.

You can also try sleeping on your left side to prevent heartburn. A study by the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia suggests that sleep is on the left side is the best way to avoid nighttime heartburn and sleep on the right side you can increase heartburn symptoms. Avoid tight clothing around the waist: Loosen tight clothing around your waist put pressure on the LES and forced the stomach acid into the esophagus. So avoid tight fitting clothes and slimming belt. Stop Smoking: Studies have shown that smoking weakens and relaxes the muscles of the lower esophageal sphincter (LES). If the LES is not functioning properly, stomach contents may reflux into the esophagus. Cigarette smoking also slows the production of saliva, which you need to neutralize the stomach acid into the Speiseröhre.Rauchen also stimulates the production of more stomach acid. Avoid alcohol: Alcohol also weakens the LES and interferes with the rate of gastric emptying. You are not able to completely abstain from alcohol, assume you try these tips: Dilute alcoholic beverages with water or soda. Drink (Get this depends on your condition and differs from person to person. Scientific opinion) only moderate amounts. Drink white wine instead of red. Choose non-alcoholic beer or wine. Try a gluten-free diet: Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley and rye. Sometimes gluten is the cause of GERD symptoms. A small study by Italian researchers has conducted, found that gluten-free diet might help with GERD symptoms and acid reflux damage in patients with celiac disease. Try eliminating gluten from your diet and see if it makes a difference. Stay happy, relaxed, and stress-free: If you are stressed, you tend to forget to eat at regular intervals or tend to smoke or drink, which could again be the cause of developing GERD. So, have a heart. Take care. Only you can take care of themselves in the best possible way.

If despite all these measures could, you still experience the symptoms of GERD, ask your doctor, an acid-blocker, which inhibits the release of stomach acid prescribing. Although it will give relief only after an hour or so, you will be free of your symptoms for at least 12 hours.
