The Endless Fight: Democrats Vs. Republicans Why Not End It? There are a lot of endless fights in life Good vs. Evil, Light vs. Dark, and Democrats vs. Republicans. Now one of these doesn't exactly fit in. Good vs. Evil is an internal struggle that will always be present. Light vs. Dark has always been a cycle. Part of the year the day is longer than night the another part of the year the night is longer than day. These are struggles that have been going on since the world began. However Democrats vs. Republican has not. It's a recent development, it's not something that's always been present. But it's like both Good vs. Evil and light vs. Dark. It's all a matter of opinion. It just depends on which side the person . The question is why? Do we need to be a democrat or republican? When it comes to politics everyone has an opinion. It all depends on your situation. Democrats and republicans are groups of people with similar opinions the problem is that some republicans can have a democrat opinion on an issue and vice versa. However they get caught having to stay with the majority of what their party thinks. This is what makes the fight endless. The question is why is it necessary? Why do we need the party system anymore anyways? The party system leads to a division in the people of the country. Most people lie somewhere in the middle between democrat or republican. But they are asked to choose which to align themselves with. This is a major problem because the elected officials are elected by the people of their district, state, or country. They should serve the people they represent. Not the party they affiliate themselves with. This country is a republic not a democracy the power is with the people. If the party system were abolished the process of serving the people would be streamlined. Without a party the representatives would have to serve the people they represent because there is no party to serve anymore. So maybe there is an end to the fight between republicans and democrats. But it's up to the people to decide when enough is enough. Once again there is a difference between this battle and the others mention and ending is possible. Sincerely, Ender Wiggins
