Did you know that fish oil helps your cardiovascular circulation. It does this because this oil is a natural blood thinner. Yes, omega 3 fatty acids help to thin our blood and help to lower our blood pressure. They are anticoagulants. But I would be failing in my duty if I did not warn you about the risk of starting a course of fish oil without consulting your doctor. Especially if you are on prescription type drugs or aspirin to thin your blood already. I usually tell people not to take more than 2,000mg of this oil per day if they are on these types of drugs. Cardiovascular circulation. A study carried out overseas found that heart attack survivors who were put on a course of this oil, actually, were less likely to suffer more heart attacks and or strokes than those who were not taking this oil. This oil helps to prevent clots from forming, helping to ensure that you are indeed a survivor. These clots can cause the artery to become blocked, this causes a heart attack. Older people are at risk of suffering from atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries. The walls of the arteries become inflamed. This is caused by the white blood cells and the low density lipoproteins hardening in the arteries. High doses Omega 3 fatty acids have been known to reverse the problem of atherosclerosis, although I must warn you that it could take two or more years before this happens. I find it amazing the number of things that our cardiovascular circulation system touches on. One of the best ways to improve cardiovascular circulation is to exercise regularly. Most of us as we grow older start to slow down and stop exercising as much. Exercise coupled with a good diet, are the two most important things we can do for our health. Even just going for a walk each day helps our circulation. And having a diet that is full of fruit and vegetables and low in processed foods, helps a lot. Two of the most common problems that put you at less risk with regular exercise are, apart from obesity, heart problems and diabetes. We all intend to exercise regularly, but for one reason or another do not get that exercise. For these people, there is another solution. We can take ginkgo biloba, this is believed to improve blood circulation. I hope that this article on cardiovascular circulation has proved to be of some benefit to you.
