As it is known by everybody that breast changes are natural and breasts develop various changes at different stages of life, but unfortunately at times unusual changes accompany usual changes as well so they must be identified and consulted to the doctor immediately to recognize the reason of its occurrence as they can be due to breast cancer and in this case it is crucial to treat these changes at once otherwise they lead to the advanced stage breast cancer. Some of the changes that are considered to be unusual and can be due to breast cancer are given below • Changes in the size and shape of breast are abnormal and they must not be overlooked, however the changes can take place due to any other reason as well such as the size can be enlarged before periods or it can be enlarged during pregnancy as well. • The shape of breast can be changed as well due to certain reasons so women must observe the shape of breast during self examination so that any change in it can be noticed immediately. • Changes in the skin of breast are also worthy to be noticed as they come into the category of abnormal changes and need to be checked by the doctor at once these changes include dimpling, puckering etc. • Nipple changes like any change in the position of nipple must be noticed to avoid serious problems. • Nipples must be squeezed to check the fluid discharge during self examination as any kind of discharge except breast milk is abnormal and must not be overlooked, however it can be due to the infection or any other abnormality. Women are advised to attend regular sessions of breast cancer screening in their old age because the risk of getting breast cancer is increased in this age so to catch it as it takes place is important to cure the disease successfully.
