Blinds or the shutters are used for the covering of windows or the doors. As they are becoming vital for our society so they are coming in various shapes and sizes and made up of different materials. Different types of Material used in blinds: Wood: Blinds can be formed of woods which are used by customers for secreting their homes. Types of blinds in Woods: There are two types of wooden blinds which can are Venetian Blinds and Pinoleum Blinds. Venetian Blinds: Venetian blinds are the most commonly found blinds. Shapes in Wooden Blinds: Wooden blinds can be used in Venetian Blinds. Venetian blinds are the type of blinds which are horizontal in Shape: Moving of Wooden Blinds; As Venetian wooden blinds are horizontal in shape only so the wooden slates can move in 180 degrees direction only for the screening of windows. Formation of Wooden Blinds: As the slats of Venetian blinds are connected through the string, similarly, Venetian Wooden blinds are chorded through a pulley which can function in two was. a) The shored pulley can be moved downwards by pushing the slats upward and hence all the view outside the window can be seen. b) The chorded pulley can allow little light to pass through it and hence not everything is clearly visible. Types of Woods used in Wooden Blinds: Different types of woods can be used in wooden blinds. These types can vary from oak woods to timber wood. But timber wood is very expensive because of its durability and rareness. Pinoleum Wooden Blinds: Pinoleum blinds are also made up of hard woods or slates. They are majorly formed of twigs of wood. Shape of Pinoleum Blinds: The Pinoleum blinds are also horizontal in shape and can be moved only in a straight line direction. Formation of Pinoleum Blinds: The Pinoleum Blinds are in horizontal shape but they are hanged vertically by the means of thread. They can be moved in the upward direction. Faux Wood; There is another choice for customers who act as an alternative to the wood used in Pinoleum or Venetian Blinds. These are known as Faux Wood. Reason for faux Wood as an alternative: Faux Wood is extremely expensive and costs much more than a normal wood. This wood is therefore is mainly used by those people who are higher in status and can afford this wood to be used in their homes. Advantages of Faux Wood: a) Material of Faux Wood: Faux Wood is matured in its material and is therefore durable. The products made from faux woods can sustain whether changes for a longer period of time as compared to the natural wood. b) Versatility of Faux Wood; Faux wood can be easily molded into the kind of shape which customers like to have in his or her home. So they are versatile in their nature and variety of different kinds of blinds can be formed through them. c) They are ideal choice for washrooms and kitchens.
