Granite table tops combined with a smart design can make the atmosphere of a restaurant feel organic, fresh, and modern. Manufactured granite table tops typically are made with a wood plank on the underside of the table top that is flush with the bottom of the restaurant table top. The wood allows for the base to be attached and the result is an aesthetically pleasing restaurant table top because the wood does not stick out underneath. There are even Granite table tops that consist of a wood core with a layer of real granite on the top side. This is less expensive option and also has the benefit of allowing a table base to be screwed directly into the bottom.
