For instance, the clay pots may be available at lesser prices in comparison to other varieties and offer your children to pain them in different colours but then they are porous, which results in drainage of water. Thus, plants are required to be watered more often. The plastic planters, on the other hand, are non-porous and thereby retain water for a longer period of time keeping lush moist. Garden containers made of plastic are lightweight and do not break if dropped.
The wooden garden pots are again lightweight and can be easily put to decorate window boxes or terrace gardens. They can be self made by painting any wooden beer crate and are heat resistant but then they do have to be treated with preservatives to protect them against mites. The metallic garden containers can be found at any antiques shop and may be a little expensive but they do add to the overall elegance of the place. Such pots and urns are made from galvanised aluminium or enamelled steel to make them able to withstand erratic weather conditions.
