Ethanol Fireplaces - Safe And ECO-Friendly Alternative

Home Improvement,Home Repair,Interior Design
Ethanol fireplaces, also known as biofireplaces, use biofuels (ethanol) for burning with a decorative aesthetic purpose, partly for heating or other processes. For this reason, these fireplaces are different from traditional wood-burning fireplaces. As a result of using alcohol as a fuel instead of other high-carbon fuels, the flame produced has many advantages over the traditional version. We will discuss some of these benefits in this article. A typical bioethanol fireplace insert consists of a burner, the main functional part of a bio fireplace. The bio-burner contains a tank that houses the fuel used and a fire line that allows fuel vapor to connect with enough oxygen to create a stable, controlled flame. Typically, the idea of combining high-octane fuels such as ethanol with a live flame may not seem like a good idea, right? But in the concept of a bio fireplace for an apartment, many calculations and design were aimed at creating a device that allows you to use the potential of heating and purified alcohol as fuel while maintaining the safety that a classic fireplace should characterize. Let's look at some of these devices that allow you to safely use a bio fireplace as a reliable choice, even for indoors. Many people decide to add a fireplace to their place of residence, because nothing compares with the attractiveness of a real live fire, and let's face it, a fireplace in your apartment is also a good investment, so by researching realtors, a fireplace in an apartment significantly increases the cost and attractiveness apartments on the market. Unfortunately, until recently, the vast majority of fireplaces that were built in homes use wood as fuel. Wood-burning fireplaces are difficult to install, if the chimney is improperly constructed, using a fireplace will be dangerous. But this does not apply to bio-fireplaces, as they DO NOT require a chimney or additional ventilation, except for a window / window in the room. In addition to the operational tools that make it safer and easier to use, there are other advantages to choosing one of them compared to a conventional wood or charcoal fireplace. First, they use ethanol or alcohol as fuel. This creates a huge difference in the quality of the flame and its effect on the immediate and even extended environment. This liquid fuel burns easier and more environmentally friendly. This fuel can even be obtained by fermenting by-products, such as sugarcane or grain, with yeast. Since they use bioethanol as a fuel with a very low carbon content compared to wood, they emit much less carbon dioxide (directly much less, small furnaces can be compared with candles, but for large models, recommendations for the minimum room area should be taken into account), smoke combustion and do not emit any harmful foreign particles. These particles, which usually have a significant adverse effect on your respiratory system, are absent, since ethanol does not produce any of these pollutants; when it is burned, it emits only vapors and a small amount of CO2

Precautions For Using Ethanol Fireplaces Even though these fireplaces are designed to be easy and safe to operate, and also better for your health than other fireplaces for heating your home, the benefits of these fireplaces will only be achieved if used properly. Like any object that involves the use of open flame, additional precautions must be taken to avoid the danger of harm to life and property. Here are some of the measures you need to take. The following are some precautions that should be observed when using bio-fireplaces.

• For obvious reasons, store biofuels away from the fireplace and out of the reach of children. • For smaller rooms, we recommend using a carbon monoxide detector. • When you try to turn off a biofireplace, it can be difficult to see the burner flame, so be sure to close the flame arrester to extinguish the fire when you want to turn it off. • Before refueling the burner, make sure that the fire is completely extinguished by properly closing the lid, you must leave the fireplace to cool for about 15 minutes to avoid accidental ignition of the fuel due to heating. • Use only fuel specifically designed for ethanol fireplaces. (seriously, do not use alcohol or vodka) • Biofireplaces should be managed only by adults. • Only light the fireplace with a long lighter or matchstick. • An adult should be present while using a biofireplace. • Never try to move a fireplace that is still burning or still hot. • Be sure to close the burner when leaving the room or house and before going to bed.

As with all types of fireplaces, damage can result from improper use and operation. However, if you follow the guidelines for using an ethanol fireplace as described above, you will surely get the most out of its modern design, aesthetic appeal, functionality and other benefits that make it safer for you and your environment than a wood burning fireplace.
