I’m talking about some costumes that you and the children from your family can buy or rent and use at the Christmas party. You and your family will definitely have plenty of fun this holiday that will remain in the photo album for years now. There are many ideas for Christmas costumes and I dare saying that all of them are good. After all, what Christmas related idea could possibly be bad? Prepare the Christmas costume party! Invite your family by sending them free Christmas cards with the characters that will actually join your Christmas table. Maybe every parent – especially fathers – dressed up at least once as Santa Claus. Many online costume shops can rent you a fancy Santa suit. Or if you want to try it first, go to a local store and choose the costume that makes you hardest to be recognized by your kids. Also, don't forget about the Santa beard, the hat, and of course, the bag which you will fill with goodies by yourself. Buying the costume it’s easy, but you have to learn to act like a veritable Santa and make a few challenge mini games with your children before repaying them with gifts. The most important is that they will not recognize you, so be careful at any detail in your outfit and behaviour. A Santa Claus needs an elf and a Santa’s beloved wife, who is always there for him. So maybe a friend and a woman from the family will dress like this, to make the Santa’s arrival more interesting for everyone. Reindeer costumes are always funny and popular amongst kids of all ages. They are also very easy to wear, even if you choose to put a red big nose and a pair of horns. Most people dressed up in reindeers prefer to be Rudolph but don’t forget about Dasher, Dancer, Vixen, Cupid and the others! Beside Santa-related costumes, there are other ideas which deserve our attention. A snowman, the Gingerbread Man or Grinch can be very appealing and entertaining for any party. And let’s not forget about the characters from Christmas movies and fairy tales. Long time ago, Christmases were marked of wonderful stories, about the Ice Maiden, the Wizard of Oz or Marry Poppins. All these stories can be marvellous inspirations for costumes, especially for girls. Many movies produced Christmas characters that people remember and love. For the Christmas party, you can go as Scrooge or the Casper the Ghost. Those who wish to spread the deeper meaning of Christmas they can dress up as Virgin Mary, Joseph or the 3 Wise Men. I don’t guarantee that your children will have fun on the religious ambiance but is a great story to tell and an opportunity to teach them the main reason we celebrate Christmas.
