What does Homeland Security mean?
All security efforts that go into protecting the US against terrorist activity is collectively called Homeland Security. It is an effort by the entire nation to prevent any kind of terrorist attacks in the US and minimize any kind of damages. It consists of 187 federal agencies and 14 agencies that do the intelligence work. All of these agencies and departments work together to provide the country with safety and security. Sometimes, a person may get involved with homeland security unknowingly. In such a situation, he/she may not know what to do or what action to take. It may not be easy for a person to get this information. Most of the times, a person may find out that he/she is on the watch list or no fly list only when he/she is stopped at the airport. Many times people may get into trouble because of a namesake that is there on the list.
