Over the next 15 minutes, I would like to go through 2 scenarios. Lets imagine that you have been living for 3 years in either the world of network marketing or the world of employment. Scenario 1 - Employment It's 4:30pm on a Sunday afternoon. The football game has come back from halftime, and the pressure and pit of Monday morning becomes heavier. As you sit there, you contemplate taking the morning off. Maybe even taking a day off. But you fight through it. The game ends and your team wins, so you are feeling pretty good. But in the back of your mind, there's something eating away at you. You finish your evening grooming, and you go to bed. At about 2:30am, you wake up briefly. The idea of calling in is more enticing. You finally make it back to sleep only to wake up about 30 minutes late. You rush to get dressed, gather your wits, kiss your wife and kids, and off you go. As you jump in the car, you tune into your favorite radio station and go through the usual bad traffic. You arrive in the company parking garage, only to find that you have to park on the highest level because you are late. You rush in through a cloud of smoke from the morning puffers and head to your cubicle. Finally, you are at your desk and your boss comes over and asks you to step into his office. You are badgered for 30 minutes about why you are late and that you will need to stay a little longer to "make it up." You make it back to your desk and your message light is lit with 15 messages from 15 different people asking you to do 15 different things. You cut on your computer, give a "I don't care grin" to the co-worker next to you, and you think... It's only Monday. Scenario 2 - Network Marketing It's 4:30pm on a Sunday afternoon. Your team is winning, and you are very pumped up. You remember the pit in your stomach from being employed, but inside you laugh. As you go to bed, you map out your Monday. Take the kids to school, mow the lawn, go back to the school to eat lunch with your kids, hit the movies with your significant other, pick the kids up from school, and go to cheerleading practice. You look at your bank account, and you realize that it grew overnight. What did you do? Nothing. Conclusion After 3 years of being employed, you will still be employed. More bosses, more politics, and more long Sundays. After 3 years in network marketing, you will be free. Free to spend time with your family. Network marketing offers freedom to Optimize The Human Experience. Are you the person in Scenario 1? Brandon Barclow is a professional network marketer.
