According to many researchers across the world, more people are living below the poverty line. This is the same case with India as a country. Poverty is widely spread across the country with many people living in the slums all over the country. While the government is trying its part in trying to help rescue people from poverty, other stakeholders should also play a part in the process to help eradicate the various misfortunes facing other people around us. The Relief India Trust is an Indian-based NGO that strives to improve the quality of life for everybody irrespective of age or political inclination. The downtrodden members of society are usually faced with various challenges right from health, education and access to basic needs such as food, shelter and clothing. We, as the Relief India trust, with the help of donors and volunteer organizations in the society are working hard to ensure that all people are staying happy with the basic needs assured for them. We look into various aspects of life that require special attention while helping society. Below are some of the common areas that demand support from volunteers and donors to help various people with different challenges. • Health Basic health treatment is supposed to be availed to everybody in the society however this is not the case. Many people are losing their lives simply because they won’t afford basic medical treatment in various medical institutions. Some suffer complications that affect them for the rest of their lives. The Relief India Trust offers to help such individuals by providing free medical consultancy and treatment by organizing medical check-up campaigns in different parts of the country. Medical services are brought closer to the needy individuals in the society and thus helping them to get treated. • Housing Slum dwellers are having problems with housing needs hence the reason why Relief India trust strives to mobilize people who will help individuals with such needs and help them afford a decent housing facility. • Food There are several hunger stricken communities whose lives lie in the mercies of well wishers and donors in the community. If you are a volunteer and willing to help such people, we welcome you to join hands with several other volunteers to discuss the best way of helping them. Sustain life today by being part of the campaign to help needy members of the society. • Education There are many poor children who have turned into child labor due to lack of enough resources to ensure completion of their studies. As much the government works hard to ensure education for all, some families are not lucky enough to gain access to the various facilities provided by the government. The Relief India Trust is an NGO that has helped such needy children access education by setting up various education facilities in various parts of the country. The needy children are therefore able to learn basic skills and knowledge that will enable them to secure better paying jobs in the future. • Elderly care and care for the HIV affected individuals This group of members in the society comprises of the neediest individuals who need help and support to sustain a better life.
