Douglas Adams was a very famous English writer. He was born on March 11, 1952. His full name was Douglas Noel Adams. He was a writer, dramatist and humourist. He wrote many books, plays and also developed a computer game and a feature film. He was a believer of Atheism. He had an affair with a novelist Sally Emerson in early 1980s. He dedicated his book “Life, the Universe and Everything” to her. She left him in 1981. Adams then married a lady barrister Jane Belson. They had a daughter. The family lived together happily up till Adams death. He died on May 11, 2001 at the age of 49 years. He died of heart attack. His unfinished novel “The Salmon of Doubt” was published in 2002. His well-known book all over the world is “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”. It brought him fame all over the world as a humourist. His other famous books are Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency and The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul. He wrote on the genres like science, fiction, comedy and satire. Biologist Richard Hawkins dedicated his book The God Delusion to Adams.
