Plywood is one of the furniture materials that are commonly used. It is one kind of man-made board. It is divided into three-layer plywood and five-layer plywood. A group of veneer is glued into a plank in the direction of the adjacent layer grain. The number of the layer is usually odd, rather than even. We may see little differences in the mechanical properties of the horizontal and vertical levels. Plywood could enhance the efficiency of wood that is used, which could also reduce the consumption of wood. It could also be used in airplanes, ships, trains, automobiles, buildings, packaging materials and so on. According to the current usage of the plywood , it could be divided into the coating plywood, decorative plywood, general plywood, veneer fancy plywood and so on. Finishing plywood is used for furniture, sewing machine tables and various appliance shell products that need transparent painting materials. Construction, vehicle and ship decorations witness great applications of decorative plywood. General plywood is used in packing, pad and other fields. Besides, the veneer fancy plywood is used for materials of construction, furniture, cars, shipbuilding industry and other superior decorative materials. According to the strength of the plywood, it could also be divided into many kinds. For example, some plywood could resist harsh environment and high temperature. Such plywood could be used outdoors and it is quite durable. Other plywood could be drawn in hot and cold water, but it could not stand the boiling water. Some plywood that could be used indoors could resist from wet environments. There is other plywood that could resist from neither wet environment nor hot weather. In order to make plywood to be evenly designed and stable in formation, the manufacturing of plywood should follow two major requirements. The plywood should be evenly distributed, so that the adjacent board should be in a vertical line. In terms of the even distribution, we mean that the properties of the materials, thickness of the boards, layers, the directions of the fiber and the moisture contained and many other major properties of the plywood should all be even. The increasing demand for Chinese products helps to promote the development of plywood China industry. Now plywood China market witnesses broader and greater applications on many different fields.
