It is mandatory to follow proper graphic design guidelines for effective calendar printing. Our guidelines are highly guaranteed for printing appealing calendars every time. Let me share with you our graphic design secrets for calendar printing, so that you may also create great graphic designs for your full color calendars. Have a look: Enhancing images – Images are the most crucial part in calendar printing. The images for the 12 months of the year are the ones that require most attention. What is required of a graphic design calendars is that you need to enhance all the images to make them look appealing. Today, it can be easily done using image enhancement software such as Adobe Photoshop. Usually people adjust the color values, lighting values as well as adjusting sharpness options and the overall dimensions of the image. These modifications provide the image with more depth that the original image lacked. Working with typography – Typography is another vital area in calendar designing. Since all calendars will have numbers and letters in their design, focusing on the style of the fonts will be important as well. Note that your font style should compliment your theme and the letters and numbers must blend in quite well with the overall layout. Try to place them artistically so that they can be both functional and aesthetic at the same time. You may also experiment with your own font styles or download a few interesting ones from the Internet. Adjusting for cuts, folds and holes – While designing graphics for calendars have guide lines for the non-print features of the calendar. You must place lines where the folds will be located as well as the cuts and holes that will probably be needed when the calendar binding begins. Therefore, if you add these guidelines in your calendar design process, you can avoid adding design elements to areas that will be affected physically by folds and cuts. This can save you a lot of time readjusting the layout to adjust additional features. Printing bleeds – Printing “bleeds” are very important in graphics design. These are basically extensions of the design beyond the set dimension for the layout. This is a standard operating procedure for prints so that there is some leeway for cuts and folds in printing. Therefore, always add a quarter of an inch or so for effective looking calendar layout. Try more calendar printing ideas. Hope they prove to be effective for you as well.
