Other types of housing tenures Other than townhouses, house, condominiums, apartments, and their respective type of housing tenures, there are a number of types of housing today which is different from houses and condominiums. Most of these types have been in the market for years, yet we do not pay attention to it compared to houses, condominiums, and townhouses. These other types of housing include: Public housing: Which is a type of housing and housing tenure which is government owned. This can be either given for free, or leased as a subsided rate. Squatters: Squatter’s area are all over the Philippines, yet these types of housing are still considered as a type of housing tenure.
