Although houses are not as popular as it was in the past, particularly because of its lack of benefits that many Filipinos are looking for in today’s modern lifestyles, many real estate experts still consider houses as one of the most in-demand types of housings in the Philippines, it even outpaces that of the demand for modern types of housings such as condominiums and townhouses. Part of the reason why houses still remained as one of the most in-demand types of housings is because of its affordability. And because not all Filipinos can afford to invest in a condominium unit or in a townhouse unit, houses became the best alternative for these Filipinos. New Terms of Payments However, many new houses for sale the country today can offer a much more affordable deal compared to other houses. This is because these new houses can be owned and paid in installment. Most of these new houses are found in housing communities around Metro Manila, mostly in the outskirts. To compete in the growing competition to provide the best housing, most of these new houses can now be bought and paid in installment. And compared to many new condominiums which can also be bought for the same terms of payment, these new houses can offer a more affordable down payment. Amenities However, other than its affordability, there are also other reasons why houses remained in-demand in the Philippines, particularly now that the number of new houses for sale had significantly grown over the years. One of which is its amenities. Although amenities such as swimming pools, gyms, sports complexes, recreational parks, and playgrounds are mostly popularly found in condominium complexes, exclusive subdivisions were the first types of housing communities that provided such amenities in the Philippines. And today, many new smaller and affordable housing communities in the Philippines can also offer the same amenities that these other types of housings became popular with. However, the advantage of these new housing communities is that their new houses for sale are far more affordable compared to condominium units as well as those big houses found in subdivisions. Other Reasons Other reasons why houses are still in-demand is because houses are still considered by many Filipinos as the most appropriate type for a growing Filipino family, even though other types of housings such as condominium complexes can also be as appropriate as a home as other types of houses. Another is that houses are still known as the only types of housings which can be made as an ancestral home, particularly if it’s built by the family that resides in it.
