Bali lies east of Java , it is about 8 degrees south of the equator. Bali and Java are separated by means of the Bali Strait. The island is going on for 153 km wide starting West to the East and is around 112 km from the South to the North. It has a terrain mass region of 5,632 km². The tallest top in Bali is Mount Agung that is a volcano that is even now active. It touches at more than 3,000 metres. The island is of course volcanic and surrounded by reefs of coral where life is heaving amid unique fish and sponges. There are countless seashores in the region of Bali a quantity of made up of white sand and others made of black sand that comes from the volcanic rock. There are no chief water ways in Bali and access to everywhere is by road which is not always the easiest to stick to. A lot of them are in a dreadful state. You'll notice a number of rivers that are great for water-rafting that now are especially popular with holidaymakers. Bali is developing as a tourist getaway and visitors gather to the island for the fantastic weather, culture and night-life that there is for the visitors. Denpasar is the Capital of Bali and has nearly 200,000 residents followed by Singaraja located towards the North of the island. The main tourist area until now been Kuta though this is changing as Bali develops more of the island. There are several luxury villas to rent in Bali and Kuta also has a number of resorts as well as guest house style lodging. The ocean at Kuta beach can be very unsafe and care must be taken when swimming in the area. Very strong rip tides are common. You have got to take care in particular with kids or weak swimmers and confirm it is safe before jumping the sea. There are a lot of up and coming areas in the south of Bali, like Nusa Dua, which is home to a lot of 5 star resorts. Nusa Dua has beaches on either sides of it and draws a lot of people from all across the island. Jimbaran is also a region has grown in popularity and is a lovely place to sit and watch the brilliant sunsets which Bali is known for. There are loads of great locations for surfing in Bali and it is common practise to rent a beach front private villa with direct access to the beach and surf. There are a lot of beach front resorts in Bali, some of that can be found in Sanur which is the East of Denpasar. You will find also a lot of foreigners living in the Sanur area and there are a lot of long term rental villas available. Seminyak is a more exclusive area and has a number of chic clubs, restaurants and bars down the main road. There are as well some exclusive clubs located here to boot. You will never run out of things to do in Bali whether you are into spa treatments or scuba-diving. Shopping or jogging. Water sports are also a major attraction and are much inexpensive to do than in other tourist hotspots almost the World. The magic shows and local dancing are other places of interest in Bali, not to mention the numerous night shows, dinner and dances and other entertainment that can be found in a number of venues as well as all of the hotels throughout Bali. Whether you want to stay in a luxury clifftop villa, a beachfront hotel or a studio apartment in one of the main tourist areas, you will have a great time in Bali. It is an expereince you will on no account forget and one you will no doubt want to repeat.
