These are fitted entirely inside the ear canal and no one can tell if the wearer is fitted with one as it is not visible at all. Mini hearing aids should be cleaned regularly to avoid malfunctions. Cleaning is necessary to prevent additional health problems. Usually, a mini hearing aid could be cleaned with a piece of soft tissue. The users have to keep the hearing aid away from moisture or damp places. If the equipment is not to be used for an extensive period, the batteries should be removed for storage. There are many instances where the user may complain that they cannot hear well even with the mini hearing aids they use. In this case, try cleaning the mould, increasing the volume level or replacing batteries or doing all three actionswhich may clear the problems. Mini hearing aids should only be used after consulting an otologist. Person who has genetic hearing problems or people with impaired hearing problems should wear this type of hearing aids only after an audiologist has tested them for hearing impairment and level of deficiency. Normally, wearing a mini hearing aid inone ear is enough to disperse hearing difficulty, but some people have to wear them in both ears. The condition of the weather is responsible for most malfunctions of hearing aids. Manypeople, who wear mini hearing aids in humid weather conditions, complain that they cannot hear properly. In humid weather condition, the hearing aids should be cleaned at least once a day to avoid such problems.
