If you think you are okay with the normal speed and do not need to pedal fast, you can ride on the mountain bike. Both of these are pretty much same except the speed. But gaining speed while riding greatly depends upon the expertise level of the rider. For instance, if you look at the professional rider then you will be stunned to see how fast they travel by the bike cruiser. But before you start riding in super speed make sure that you the basic control of the cycles or else chances are very high that you hurt yourself in the road. If you prefer control: 29er will give you better traction and control over your cycle. Larger wheel size gives you more control over your bike. You can ride on a mountain bike, if you are an expert in controlling your bike cruiser and do not need anything extra.
